Clematis evergreen

Clematis of this main group are exceptional! The Clematis armandii have a strong fragrance. Clematis balearica need some winter protection or should be kept in winter gardens. In many areas of Europe no or little winter protection is necessary. (Vineyard climate)
All evergreen clematis flower in spring! The armandii varieties, for example, are the clematis with the best frost hardiness and tolerate minus 15-18°. They impress with imposing foliage reminiscent of rhododendrons.
